NEW UBUNTU 12 04 ALPHA VERSION AVAILABLE
Ubuntu 12.04 Alpha version is released now and available at cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/precise/alpha-1/. Ubuntu 12.04 is named as Precise Pangolin and will be a Long Term Support release. Unlike previous LTS releases that have been supported for three years for the desktop version and five years for the server version, this version supported for five years on both.
The default download for 12.04 will be 64-bit, with 32-bit still available as a user choice. Also the ISO size will increase to 750 MB, meaning that it will no longer fit on a CD, but will require a DVD.

2. Banshee media player is replaced by Rhythmbox and drop the Tomboy note-taking application and the support frame work as well.

4. Mozilla Firefox 9.0 is now default web browser and Mozilla Thunderbird 9.0 is the default email client.
5. GNOME 3.2.1 is default desktop environment with unity on top of it.
